Hi everyone,
This is the latest edition of Beth's News and the first to be online!
At the moment I'm very busy on Block Placement in Exeter with Pinhoe Road Baptist Church working with their Youth Pastor Simon.
I have been very busy since I arrived on Monday, I've followed Simon around almost everywhere (except for Valentine's Day lunch on Wednesday) and have been introduced into the world of a Youth Pastor.
This has been an eye-opening experience as their Senior Pastor has been very ill so Simon has been doing extra things (like a funeral) that Alan the Pastor would have been doing.
I'm staying with a lovely family who live very close to the church in their daughter's bedroom while she's away at university.
I am now settled in and am starting to get to know some of the people in the church, they all seem very friendly (but I've not got to know them very well yet!!!)
Tonight I'm doing a sleepover with the 11-18 year olds as it is half term next week and there are no weekly activities. Instead I will be looking at the church and the community and how the church relates to the people in it's neighbourhood.
I'll try to keep you all updated.
With Love
Beth

Just had a look at the church website, and say to the pastorate/elders this - well done on running Christianity Explored - my tool of choice for evangelism. In particular over, what is in my opinion, the theologically anaemic Alpha!! haha
sorry to interrupt... you may continue...
hey darling! That sounds like fun - glad you didn't tag along on valentines he he he! but yer - sleepovers rock! have fun! I'm doing team building with our church youth on thursday. I'm having to miss dynamics of discipleship to do it but hey. Its the first lectures i'll miss this term and i've only ever missed 2 due to the dyslexia test last semster so i feel i can afford two more!
I'm praying. Bin doing alot of that recently. Tis good cos God keeps answering!
